Rowena is 43 years old and a mother of three children. Her two eldest children are twins aged 21 years old, and her youngest child is 20 years old. She comes from the province of Bulacan, Philippines. Rowena is a college undergraduate and is able to speak and understand English well, which helps her communicate effectively with her employers.

From 2015 to 2025, Rowena worked in Hong Kong as a domestic helper for a Chinese family. When she first joined the family, the couple had one child, and the lady employer was pregnant with their second child. Her employer lived in a flat condominium with three rooms and two toilets. Rowena was the only helper in the household, so she was fully responsible for managing the daily household tasks and ensuring that the home was well organized and maintained.

Her main duties included general household chores such as cleaning the entire house, mopping and dusting, laundry, and ironing clothes. She also handled the cooking for the family and went to the market to buy fresh ingredients and other household necessities. In addition, she was responsible for washing the family car to make sure it was kept clean.

Aside from her household responsibilities, Rowena also played an important role in childcare. When the second child was born, she helped take care of the newborn baby. Her duties included bathing the baby, changing diapers, preparing milk, feeding the baby, and putting the baby to sleep. She also ensured the baby’s safety and comfort at all times while assisting the parents with the child’s daily needs.
