From 2014 to 2018, Cheryl Mae worked as a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia for a Muslim family with five children—four boys aged 7, 12, 17, and 22 years old, and one girl aged 19 years old. The family lived in a three-storey house with 6 bedrooms and 11 toilets, and Cheryl Mae was the only helper in the household. Her main responsibility was caring for the 7-year-old boy, including preparing his school items such as uniforms, shoes, socks, and school bag, as well as grooming tasks like combing his hair. In addition, she assisted with general household chores such as assisting in cooking, cleaning, ironing, and laundry.

From 2022 to 2024, she gained further experience as a domestic helper in Dubai, working for a family living in a three-storey house with 4 bedrooms and 6 toilets. The employer’s three children were already married. There were two helpers in the household, including one Indonesian helper. Cheryl Mae’s main duties focused on general household work, such as cleaning, ironing, laundry, dusting, mopping floors, sweeping, and cleaning windows. She also looked after four cats.

Cheryl Mae knows how to cook Filipino food and is willing to learn other dishes. Her special skill is hand sewing, and she is willing to learn baking. She is also willing to do car washing, gardening, and pet care. She prefers to work for Chinese families, Indian vegetarian families, or Indian non-vegetarian families.
